Summary

VCU School of Nursing is seeking an On-Site Project Coordinator to provide general project coordination and participation on current funded and proposed grant opportunities for the Richmond Health and Wellness Program (RHWP) by supporting the on-site operations of RHWP in a community-based setting, as well as engaging with RHWP data management and reporting activities.

This is a restricted position and continued employment is based on the availability of funds.

Typical Duties

The On-Site Project Coordinator will provide oversight of data management at the RHWP sites, ensuring completion of data entry, as well as interfacing with program participants to assist with scheduling of participant visits. Current study activities include recruitment, enrollment and consenting of participants for surveys, completing survey data collection, arranging transportation, and work with the community volunteers for the project as well as overseeing collection of student survey data. Future activities related to research may include assisting with proposal development, data collection and data management.

The individual will be part of the Richmond Health and Wellness Program team.

Duties of the On-Site Project Coordinator will include:
  • Assisting with maintaining REDcap database and scheduling for RHWP program participants, students, and faculty
  • Being present at the RHWP sites two to three days a week
  • Assisting with data collection for funded projects
  • Organizing bi-weekly study meetings and recording minutes
  • Assist with IRB protocols, data entry, analysis and reporting activities
  • Assist with preparing reports and maintaining documents for the IRB and funded projects
  • Serves as the site liaison for funded projects
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Hiring Standards:
  • Bachelor degree in related field
  • At least one year of experience with data management and collection; and working in a community-based setting
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with interprofessional team
  • Excellent judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Hiring Standards:
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience with project management and data management
  • Experience with REDCap
