FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Hunter College School of Nursing is the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York and prepares nurses for 21st century practice in complex urban environments with diverse populations.
The School of Nursing seeks a Clinical Professor and Co-Coordinator of the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program. The successful candidate will co-coordinate, and perform teaching and guidance duties in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program.
Coordinator responsibilities include recruitment of potential applicants, overseeing admissions of program applicants, facilitation of placement of students in clinical placements, overseeing adjuncts teaching in program, determining curriculum changes, and responding to student issues. This position shares responsibility for committee and department assignments. Administrative, supervisory, and other functions as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
D.N.P., Ed.D. or Ph.D. degree in Nursing or related field with M.S. in Nursing (Adult/Gerontology or Family Nurse Practitioner).
Academic teaching experience and at least 3 years of advanced practice clinical experience.
New York State license as a registered nurse and New York State Nurse Practitioner Licensure as an Adult/Gerontology or Family Nurse Practitioner. .
Vaccine Requirement:
Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
