Felician University
Director of Athletics

Felician University, a co-educational liberal arts university with main campuses in Lodi and Rutherford, New Jersey, seeks as its next Director of Athletics an experienced administrator who is mission-driven and will build upon the University's intercollegiate athletics programs, aligning them with the current needs of higher education's changing landscape.

Felician is one of 24 Franciscan universities in the United Statesand remains the only Catholic, Franciscan, private, independent institution in New Jersey. The University enrolls approximately 2,400 students, nearly 13 percent of whom are student-athletes, with the long-range vision for as many as 25 percent of its undergraduate students to have the student-athlete designation.

The 2020-21 athletic season marked the 25th year of intercollegiate sports at Felician University. Felician's approach to and philosophy of athletics reflects an emphasis on the development of the total person – the student and the athlete in tandem. Accordingly, coaches and staff serve as mentors, providing student-athletes with direction, assistance, and guidance to enable each of them to reach their goals in all areas of university life – academic, spiritual, and social – while preparing them for success after graduation.

The University is a NCAA Division II program and a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Felician currently sponsors 14 varsity teams: men's baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, and soccer; and women's basketball, bowling, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, track & field, and volleyball. For academic year 2022-23, women's swimming and women's indoor track are set to become Felician University's 15thand 16th varsity intercollegiate sports.
