Indiana Tech seeks qualified
candidates for the position of Senior Programmer/Analyst working in
the Information Technology department. This position is responsible
for and takes leadership roles in the complex and professional work
of analyzing, designing, and implementing new and existing
processes and applications across the university. Proven skills in
communication, problem-solving, process design, and project
lifecycle management are critical to successful performance in this
role.
Principal Duties
& Responsibilities
Leadership role in the analysis,
development, and implementation of university integrations
Communication and coordination
between departments in support of IT Services functionality
Excellent communication skills and
methods to ensure sustained progress on multiple projects
Ability to work alongside other
programmers, analysts, and contractors
Proven ability to balance work on
multiple projects at a time and continue to show progress on each
through milestones and project planning
Development of various custom front
and back-end integrations using the Microsoft stack, including C#,
.NET 6, Entity Framework, LINQ, Microsoft SQL, JSON, and RESP
APIs
Development and support of existing
systems including VB.NET, SSIS packages, SQL stored procedures,
REST APIs, and our teams internal Web API
Development of SQL queries and SSRS
reports to assist with reporting and data access in support of
projects and initiatives within the university
Subject matter expert on Blackboard
LMS and other university systems
Support of a multi-tenant Microsoft
365 ecosystem using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange, Active
Directory Users and Computers (ADUC), PowerShell and Graph API
Support of outside vendor
integrations
Support of system upgrades performed
by the IT Services team
Support of team progress toward a
cloud-based future
Well versed in various database
objects related to stored procedures, SSIS, and query design
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer
Science/Engineering or equivalent experience considered
Advanced knowledge and experience
with the Software Development Life Cycle
Ability to understand functional
needs of systems and translate into reliable code
Strong understanding of OOP concepts,
data structures, and relational databases
Knowledge in all or some of these
languages: C#, .NET, LINQ, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, and JavaScript
or jQuery
Knowledge in all or some of these
tools and platforms: Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio, SSRS,
SSIS, Power BI, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, and IIS
Manager
Strong communication and
interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts
and processes in ways stakeholders will find easy to
understand
Experience with CI/CD such as Azure
Pipelines is a plus
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in
software development and design
Proven experience with Microsoft
development stack and Office 365 ecosystem
Proven experience using Agile
development methodology and SDLC
Proven experience in project
management and leadership
