GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs custodial tasks within the guideline
of federal state and local laws and office, division and college
policies and procedures, supervisory instructions, accepted trade
practices, chemical directions, and work orders. Reports to the
manager of custodial services or other designated person and works
with co-workers, faculty, staff, and students to provide
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Performs custodial tasks: sweeps
mops, strips, waxes, buffs floors and cleans carpets; dusts and
cleans rooms, stairwells and kitchens; vacuums areas; empties
trash; polishes fixtures and drinking fountains.
2. Cleans porches and terraces.
3. Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, public areas, hallways,
stairwells and meeting rooms.

under unpleasant conditions such as in dusty and dirty areas, to
adhere to standards and plans, and to maintain

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping,
crouching, bending, crawling, walking, lifting objects up to 30
