Job Summary

The Assistant Director, Data Operations & Analytics is responsible for the College’s academic programs data analysis as well as the daily management of academic service operations for the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) academic programs. This individual will be responsible to assist in the optimization of the college’s strategic operations performance by analyzing historic, current, as well as forecasting of future performance concerning student enrollment and retention. This role will require the ability to apply various analytical techniques to solve operational issues and support strategic initiatives. The position requires team coordination of specific projects and duties associated with successfully meeting the operation and data expectations of the College. The Assistant Director, Data Operations & Analytics reports to the Director, Finance and Administration and will work closely with senior college staff, including the Dean, Senior Associate Deans, and Department Heads in both nursing and health professions in support of short and long-term strategic decision making, development of evidence-based pedagogy and enhancement of the research capabilities of the faculty.

Essential Functions
  • Provide leadership with data needed to make strategic decisions with regard to enrollment, research, pedagogy, and recruitment by performing qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Gather and analyze college level data to submit to external sources (accreditations, US News, etc.)
  • Assist in reviewing accreditation standards and providing data and feedback for self-study reviews and support developing assessment measures for accreditation reports.
  • Support the development of appropriate processes, structures, tools, and resources for the college to execute strategic priorities by presenting recommendations, alternatives, and implications based on data analysis.
  • Build and maintain executive dashboards to provide visualization for real-time operational strategy.
  • Work collaboratively with faculty to collect, analyze and report on direct assessment data.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot data discrepancies, and work with necessary teams to quickly resolve issues and identify ways to prevent issues from recurring.
  • Represent the College at Institutional Research’s bi-monthly Survey Liaisons Group meetings.
  • Present the College at the Office of the Provost’s monthly Assessment Conference Group meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications

Experience:
  • At least 2 years’ experience in data analytics.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in curriculum design, by developing, implementing, validating, and assessing pedagogies.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle responsibilities with both discretion and independence.
  • Exceptional ability to work through ambiguity, to prioritize based on changing business needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong follow-up skills and remain organized.
  • Computer literacy with expert proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity applications, as well as data analysis and reporting applications.
  • Extensive, related analytical and administrative experience working with senior-level leadership.
  • Knowledge of external higher education surveys and data mining tools.
  • This high performing individual should have a strong ability leveraging data to influence organizational decisions, innovate new methods for improvement, and concisely convey data insights to a general audience
