The position is primarily responsible for supporting students,
faculty and staff in the use of computer hardware and software in
computer lab settings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides students, faculty and staff with support for
technology in computer labs, and assists with tutoring technology
Works with administrative and academic staff to identify,
maintain, install and test software applications for the open and
instructional computer labs. Coordinates and schedules computer lab
software implementation with academic departments.
Responsible for the protection of physical technology assets;
conducts inventory management function for IT assets; secures
classrooms and labs containing technical equipment. Performs
ongoing equipment refresh; plans, manages and performs maintenance,
installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of
hardware/software in computer labs.
Analyzes, creates and submits incidents for technology related
issues to the help desk.
Trains and schedules computer lab assistants and work-study
Assists with other college initiatives, such as, but not
limited to, student registration, as needed.
Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
Performs other related duties as needed, including, but not
limited to, adherence to after hours, emergency, holiday, and/or
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
or related area supplemented by three to five years of experience
in IT, or an equivalent combination of education and experience,
with a history of progressively increasing responsibility and
accomplishments, preferably, in a college or comparable academic
Must be able to lead and direct others. Strong managerial
abilities with three years of experience.
Experience in the use and support of instructional technology
Strong background in computer applications and operating
systems, including Windows products.
Sound verbal and written communication skills.
Great team player and self-starter.
The ability to provide students and families assistance with
completing their assignments
