Position Overview & Responsibilities

The Departments of Civil and Mechanical Engineering in the School of Science and Engineering at Merrimack College is seeking a full-time non-tenure-track faculty member for the position of Engineering Laboratory Instructor. This position will function as a faculty member in both Civil and Mechanical Engineering programs and will assist with the instruction, and assessment responsibilities of both programs. The successful hire will be responsible for lab preparation and presentation in coordination with the chairs of each department. Teaching duties will begin in the Fall 2022 semester. This role will have teaching duties in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Additional teaching duties in the summer term, including both laboratory and lecture section(s), will be compensated above the standard NTT academic year (10-month) contract.

Qualifications:
  • M.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • College-level teaching experience in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Industry experience is preferred.

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills are essential.
