Position Purpose
The Lee Lab has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow with interests in immunology, antibody repertoire profiling, protein engineering, and immunoengineering. The Lee Lab is located at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, in Hanover, NH.
This position will focus on analyzing immune repertoire profiling data ( BCR -Seq and Ig-Seq) to understand the composition, development, and dynamics of antibody repertoires in infectious diseases (influenza, COVID -19, etc.), autoimmune disease, and cancer. This position will provide opportunities for:
1) generating next-generation sequencing and antibody proteomics data;
2) analyzing and interpreting secondary datasets using computational tools;
3) developing novel platforms for protein engineering;
4) engineering personalized vaccines and therapeutic antibodies; and/or
5) conducting independent studies in complementary areas.
We are engaged in both domestic and international research collaborations.
The position is part of two NIH funded projects available immediately with flexible starting dates for a 2-3 year appointment with the possibility of renewal based on performance. The salary is highly competitive and commensurate with experience and skills, complete with generous health and retirement benefits and paid time off allowance.

PhD or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Must hold or have a closely pending doctoral-level degree in immunology, chemical and biomolecular engineering, molecular biology, computational biology, biochemistry, or related field.
- Independent, highly motivated, and passionate about applying novel high-throughput technologies to answer fundamental questions about the adaptive immune repertoire.
- Demonstrated track record of productive research experience, as shown by a strong publication record and outstanding recommendations.
- Competence with molecular biology, immunology, and basic wet laboratory techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills, and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness.
- Ability to work with and mentor junior scientists and students
- Experience performing single-cell immune profiling, next-gen sequencing, and/or proteomics analysis is highly desirable, especially experience with the Illumina MiSeq, 10X Genomics Chromium platform or LC-MS/MS.
- Familiarity with common molecular biology techniques (cloning, protein expression and purification, assessment of antibody binding and functionality) is highly desirable.
- Experience in conducting and analyzing antibody repertoire analysis experiments is a plus.
- Experience in immunological bioinformatics and programming skills in Python is especially opportune.
