Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA) Department in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for an open rank part or full-time term faculty position at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Practice or Teaching to teach multiple sections or courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in Information Systems and Business Analytics, starting August 2022.
The standard full-time teaching load is four courses per semester (i.e., a 4-4 teaching load). The successful candidate will be able to deliver using one or more of the following modes: on campus (required), online, blended, or flipped; and participate in department service activities as required including advising undergrad students.
*Length of contract to be determined based on rank and departmental needs. Contract duration could range from one semester to three years with the possibility of renewal.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from a nationally or internationally accredited university is required. In addition to meeting the college’s faculty qualification standards for AACSB Accreditation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching courses at the college level, particularly in the following areas:
- Business Analytics
- Cybersecurity
- Programming (preferably in Python)
- Project Management / Agile
Industry experience in information systems management, demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed information systems or related field journals or practitioner outlet, or a doctoral degree in a related field is also highly desirable.
