Williams is pleased to announce an opening for a part-time (10
hours per week) Health Professions Advisor with the ’68 Center for
Career Exploration! We are seeking a dynamic and motivated
professional to join our advising team and to support the Science
and Health Professions Career Community in our high-volume and
fast-paced, year-round career education and preparation program.
This individual provides critical advising, programming, and Health
Professions Committee support for the Science and Health
Professions Career Community within the ’68 Center for Career
The Health Professions Advisor will support the mission of the
college to provide a nurturing educational environment. We are

have experience working with a broadly diverse student population
Support the Science and Health Professions Career Community in
serving the academic and postgraduate advising needs of the science
and pre-health professions student and alumni populations:
- Advise students and alumni in preparation for a successful
application to professional training in science or health
- Interview individual applicants as a member of the Health
Professions Committee and assist the committee in all procedures
related to evaluation of candidates. Prepare and submit committee
letters in collaboration with the Director.
- Collaborate with the Director for the coordination and
facilitation of the SPEC 19 “Exploring Healthcare” Winter Study
- Assist the Director with developing new programming and
- Perform other duties as needed
- Master’s degree plus at least 2 years relevant experience, or
equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience with academic advising and familiarity with medical-
and healthcare-related fields is highly desirable.
- Experience in the medical field preferred
- Exceptionally strong writing, communication, and presentation
skills are essential.
Application review will begin on June 7, 2022, and will continue
until the position is filled. The position is 10 hours per week,
non-benefited. Pay range is $25 to $40 per hour, commensurate with
