The ‘68 Center for Career Exploration at Williams College seeks exceptional candidates to join Williams College’s Center for Career Exploration. This role oversees our Career With Social Impact (CSI) Career Community, leads the office's DEIA initiatives, and builds relationships with crucial stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Career Education at the ’68 Center and oversees and implements the Careers With Social Impact programs, one of our six career communities. Fields of focus include Sustainability, Non Profits, Social and Racial Justice, Education, and Public Service. The ideal candidate will be a natural advisor and team player with a strong desire to positively impact the lives of students, especially those traditionally underrepresented. Candidates must be able to build strong cross-campus partnerships, and support student success in exploring internships, post-graduate employment, and/or graduate school.


Responsibilities
  • Oversees Careers With Social Impact Career (CSI) Career Community involving student career advising and exploration events to bolster student interest in related fields such as Social Impact, Non-Profit, Education, Sustainability, Government/Public Service, and Social Entrepreneurship.
  • Collaborates closely with Career Center teammates, cross-campus partners, employers, and others to ensure the learning objectives for CSI programs.
  • Leads the ‘68 Centers Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA): works closely with traditionally underrepresented students and campus partners.
  • Supports the greater ‘68 Center and division goals.


Qualifications
  • BA/BS plus at least five years of relevant experience are required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience could be in career services or in a related advising capacity such as counseling, recruiting, human resources, a Dean’s office, or other higher education or industry settings. Masters Degree preferred.
  • Educational program creation and DEIA experience are required, including a track record of working with students.
  • Compelling communication, relationship building, project management, and team-oriented skills are essential.
Pay range is from $77,000 to $87,000, commensurate with experience. Job band 2-C. Please visit https://staff-careers.williams.edu/ to apply.
