• Responsibilities:
  • Supervises two Retail Supervisors and three other store personnel in the general management of the business activities of the Bookstore. Interviews and hires civil service positions for the store and conducts performance reviews. It is also the function of the Retail Manager to assign staff members to work evening events/weekends functions, if necessary.
  • Reviews sales reports and data. Works with Business Office to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensures the receipt and transfer of cash receipts to the proper office.
  • Supervises the handling of credits and dividend accounts.
  • Works as Systems Administrator for store inventory program. The Systems Administrator ensures the Point of Sale system and back office software is working properly to track the store merchandise. This encompasses several duties to include daily monitoring of reports, software and hardware maintenance, trouble-shooting, system security control, data entry, staff orientation, and allocation of system supplies.
  • Assists customers on the phone and in the store ensuring customer inquiries and issues are handled properly, including face to face and correspondence situations.
  • Purchases and receives general supplies, shipping materials, student caps and gowns, and faculty rental attire for resale.
  • Has direct contact with sales representatives.
  • Supervises pricing and stocking of all store merchandise.
  • Functions as replacement for Department Supervisor in their absence.
  • Responsible for seeing store is opened and closed as scheduled.
• Required Qualifications:
  CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER
  
  
• Associate degree in any field or concentration including general studies.
• Two (2) years of experience in a retail environment.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience in a retail environment.
• Starting Salary: $3,810/month
