Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,440 - $3,670 per month

Full classification Salary Range: $3,440 - $5,639 per month
  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, this position provides a full range of administrative work that is operational and procedural in nature. The incumbent will be part of the Vice President’s office and will work collaboratively with the Executive Assistant to the Vice President; Work is often project oriented involving the full scope of activities and accountability from planning, initiation, execution, and coordination to implementation and evaluation. Interpersonal contacts are varied and tend to involve a broad range of problem solving activities and may require specialized knowledge.

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a diverse environment with students, staff, faculty and others.
  • Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to work area.
  • Ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office administration problems and solutions on other areas.
  • Ability to perform business math, analyze data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma; technical/vocation programs or their equivalents
  • Minimum of four years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
