The Department of Mathematics and Technology at Flagler

College is seeking Adjunct Instructors of Computer Information Systems to begin in August 2022.

We are looking for candidates who is committed to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.

The ideal candidate for this position should have experience introductory computer information courses. The candidate must be a team player who is willing to work with a team of instructors.

Adjuncts typically teach one or two undergraduate courses per semester.

Requirements for application include evidence of excellence in teaching and/or industry experience in computer information systems.

The Department of Mathematics and Technology currently offers majors and minors in both Mathematics and Computer Information Systems. The faculty teach courses designed for each of these majors, as well as service courses for other majors on campus. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a Master’s Degree in a closely related field (or have a documented completion date prior to appointment)
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduate computer information systems, data science, and/or computer programming courses.
  • A commitment to mentoring students.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a terminal degree in a closely related field.
