Job Summary

Performs duties consistent with grill operations including: operating grills, ovens, fryers, and other cooking equipment according to safe handling guidelines; preparing, stocking, and serving food safely and accurately according to local, state, and departmental guidelines; exhibits a high level of customer service and communication; assists in training and guiding PTT staff; arrives on time and ready to work. Exhibits the shared values of the college.



Job Duties
Job duties include but are not limited to:

1. Accountability - performs tasks with the best interest of the business in mind. Performance is acceptable when: a. Operates cooking equipment accurately and consistently in accordance with departmental and concept standards; reports problems in a timely fashion. b. Stocks, monitors, and reports waste and overproduction of food and food-related items. c. Follows standards outlined in employee handbook. d. Assists with ordering and inventory procedures; monitors use by dates on all products

2. Food Quality & Safety - follows local, state, and departmental guidelines for food handling and quality according to concept requirements. Performance is acceptable when: a. Product is properly rotated and handled according to departmental standards. b. Quality standards are met for cleanliness and accuracy c. Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to state, city, and department rules and guidelines. d. Monitors quality of product offerings and their presentation; suggests changes and improvements.

3. Communication - ensures customers and coworkers are informed of pertinent information at all levels. Performance is acceptable when: a. High-quality customer service is provided consistently b. Understands many aspects of products and services the area provides; c. Demonstrates ability to follow and relay written and verbal instructions d. Ensures that all other BLVD staff are informed of changes and issues.

4. Training & Support - assists in scheduling, training and guiding PTT staff in accordance with departmental requirements. Performance is acceptable when: a. Demonstrates ability to lead PTT staff in performance of daily duties associated with the food court b. Ability to train others according to departmental and concept standards; assists in monitoring performance c. Exhibits ability to assist other PTRs as needed.

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.



Required Qualifications
  • High school graduation or equivalent, basic math skills; ability to be on time; self-starter; 3 - 6 months experience in medium volume food service establishment.


    Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service and food handling experience; demonstrated leadership capabilities.
