Cyberinfrastructure Community Organizer

Job Summary

The Multi-Tier Assistance, Training, and Computational Help (MATCH) team is seeking a National Cyberinfrastructure Community Organizer to support the highly anticipated Track 2 Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Coordination Ecosystem: Services & Support (ACCESS) effort! The ACCESS project is the successor to the National Science Foundation funded Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) project, and the MATCH portion of this project will ensure support for users who are engaging with NSF funded national cyberinfrastructure resource providers. This position will be hired as part of the Research Computing group housed at the University of Colorado Boulder.
This role will be highly visible on a national level, and this position will need a comprehensive understanding of the nationally NSF funded cyberinfrastructure, an understanding of their users, and a clear ability to engage and connect with a variety of researchers and partners with varying background types.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

This staff member will be responsible for engaging with the ACCESS community and will be responsible for coordinating detailed aspects of the ACCESS MATCH Program, including:

• Coordinate institutional participation in all aspects of MATCH support program.
• Prioritize tickets related to ACCESS topics through the national ticketing system.
• Recommend awardees for the MATCH Community Grants program
• Coordinate student efforts on the project - including matching students with mentors.
• Organize and in some cases conducting synchronous and asynchronous training on topics related to cyberinfrastructure.
• Coordinate communication with ACCESS resource providers.
• Coordinate the collection of metrics and reporting for the project.
• Work with the ACCESS Track 1 allocations team to manage the allocation effort.
• Ensure MATCH documentation is being updated.

What We Can Offer

• Annual compensation: $75,000 - 85,000.

What We Require

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Degree can be substituted with related work experience on a year for year basis.
• 1+ years of experience supporting large-scale computing or data resources or equivalent.
• Experience as an outreach facilitator.
• Experience working across organizational and/or institutional boundaries.

• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

What We Would Like You To Have

• Two years of experience supporting large-scale computing or data resources or equivalent.
• Experience supporting XSEDE national resources.
• Teaching experience.
