Job Description Summary:

To manage the ACC Connect program and support services provided off-site to secondary partners to increase enrollment while and after high school graduation throughout the ACC service area in accordance with ACC policies and procedures. To supervise staff and daily operations of ACC Connect.

Job Description:

Description of Duties & Tasks

1. Supervises, trains, coaches, directs, coordinates, and disciplines personnel while adhering to organizational human resource policies and procedures as well as related employment laws. Recommends hire and termination personnel actions for positions supervised.
2. Manages and monitors the daily operations of ACC Connect programs; develops and implements policies and procedures to increase direct-to-college enrollment.
3. Review needs for staff training and establish training programs.
4. Coordinates and leads meetings with representatives from high school partners.
5. Develops systems to identify and manage student application steps in an effective and efficient manner.
6. Works with ACC Student Affairs departments to coordinate high school facility logistics related to application and enrollment events.
7. Manages data collection, preparation, and analysis related to the ACC Connect program.
8. Develops work plans, goals, and objectives that are focused on providing efficient service and problem resolution to high school partners.
9. Monitors student enrollment progress and assists in the development of ways to engage students more fully in the direct-to-college application process.
10. Creates and implements summer melt support and activities for direct-to-college enrollment.
11. Develop and implement student/parent orientations for the ACC Connect program.
12. Works with specialists to plan workshops and events during high school office hours and training of high school personnel.
13. Assist independent school districts (ISDs) and specialists with summer bridge activities, including coordinating student visits to ACC campuses, and activities such as presentations by student support staff, for the ACC Connect program.
14. Conducts advance planning and coordinates service delivery, meetings, and presentation logistics for assigned high school campus(es); and tracks participation and outcomes.
15. Develops and evaluates support materials for ACC Connect events and services.
16. Establishes and maintains an active role in high school campus planning for direct-to-college ACC opportunities and programs.
17. Serves as communication liaison between departments, high schools, and secondary partners.
18. Serves on College-wide assigned committees as appropriate.

Technology Skills
* Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.

Required Work Experience

* Three years of related work experience including one-year supervisory experience.

* Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required for this position.

Required Education

* Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education

* Master's degree.

Special Requirements
* Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for local Austin area travel.

Physical Requirements

* Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.
* Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
* Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
* Travel to middle and high schools in the ACC service area.

Other Preferred Qualifications

* Spanish/English bilingual knowledge.

ACC Benefits Overview

Full-time faculty and staffing table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the college are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.

ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty and Administrators Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by federal law.
