Adjunct Opportunities (Updated 05/12/22)

American Sign Language
Required: Master’s degree in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies or Native speaker plus Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years teaching experience at high school and/or college level. Applicant must be willing to teach both day and/or evening classes in Paramus and/or Lyndhurst.

Anthropology Position
Required: Master’s degree in Anthropology or related field; prior community college level teaching experience preferred.

Art/Photography
Required: Master degree in Fine Arts or Photography, or Bachelor’s degree plus demonstrated substantial experience in photographic production. Applicant must be able to teach both Digital and Traditional darkroom photography and be available to teach day and/or evening classes in Paramus.

Biology
Required: Master’s degree in Biology or related field and at least one year of college level teaching experience. The experience requirement may be met by two years of high school experience or three years of professional, industrial, or military experience in a related biological field.

Business
Required: MBA or other Masters in a business-related field required. Minimum of one year of college teaching experience in related business courses, preferably including community college teaching experience. Experience working in business industry is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as technical skills and must be detail oriented. Technologically proficient in common office desktop software and familiarity with cloud-based collaborative software and platforms; Knowledge of Moodle and other applications is preferred.

Chemistry
Required: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field; at least one year of college level teaching experience.

Communication
Required: Master’s degree in Speech/Interpersonal Communication and at least one year college teaching experience. Available courses are COM 100 Speech Communication and COM 102 Public Speaking.

Computer Science/Information Technology
Required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; at least one year of college level teaching experience.

Economics
Required: Master’s degree in Economics or related field; prior community college level teaching experience preferred.

Education
Required: Master’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education or Teaching or related field; prior community college level teaching experience preferred

English Basic Skills
Required: Master’s degree in English, English Education, Reading or related field; at least one year experience teaching developmental English to diverse populations, preferably at a community college.

English Composition & Literature
Required: Master’s degree in English, Composition/Rhetoric, Literature, or related field; at least one year experience teaching college-level English composition to diverse populations, preferably in a community college.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
Required: Master’s degree in ESL, Linguistics, English Education, Reading or related field; at least one year experience teaching ESL to diverse populations, preferably at a community college.

Hotel Restaurant Management (Pastry Arts)
Required: Five (5) years experience in a high volume, recognized NYC food establishment or other as an executive pastry chef, pastry chef, Sous pastry chef, bakery production manager or other related position. Experienced in cake decorating and tempering chocolate is a must.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel-Restaurant Management, Culinary/Pastry Arts or equivalent.

Mathematics – College Level
Required: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education (must include at least 18 graduate level credits in Mathematics courses); At least one year of College-level teaching experience preferred.

Mathematics – Developmental Level
Required: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or related field; one year of teaching experience.

Medical Office Assistant
Required: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) ( American Association of Medical Assistants) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) American Medical Technologist. Minimum Associate degree in Medical Office Assistant. 1 year of experience in Medical Office Administrative procedures.

Nursing (Adult Med Surg)
Required: Master’s degree in Nursing. Current NJ RN License, three (3) years of current clinical experience, one year of college level teaching in an accredited Nursing program

Nursing (OB/PEDS)
Required: Master’s degree in Nursing. Current NJ RN License, 3 years of current clinical experience, one year of college level teaching in an accredited Nursing program. Specialty certification preferred.

Philosophy and Religion

Required: Master’s degree in Philosophy; experience teaching college-level philosophy to diverse populations.

Preferred: Community college teaching experience; ability to teach formal and informal logic.

Physics
Required: Masters’ degree in Physics, Engineering or related field; at least one year of college level teaching experience.

Political Science
Required: Master’s degree in Political Science or related field; prior community college level teaching experience preferred.

Psychology
Required: Master’s degree in Psychology or related field; prior community college level teaching experience preferred.

Sociology
Required: Master’s degree in Sociology or Social Work or related field; prior community college level teaching experience preferred.
