Mount Aloysius College seeks a highly skilled and
enthusiastic Residence Life professional for an immediate opening
as the Director of Residence Life.
About Mount Aloysius College
Located in historic and scenic Cresson, Pennsylvania,
Mount Aloysius College is a private, comprehensive and
coeducational institution that combines a strong foundation in
liberal arts, small class sizes and significant opportunities for
personal and professional development for our students.
Current Opening
Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs,
the Director of Residence Life oversees all aspects of the
College’s residence life program including selecting, training,
supervising and evaluating professional and student staff. The
Director maintains the safety and security of approximately 500
residential students in 5 residence halls. The Director is a
key member in administering campus life engagement, student success
initiatives, and programmatic efforts. Oversees and enforces
residential student handbook policies through the student conduct
system, administers all housing processes including all room
assignments and room changes, and oversees billing processes and
audits.
On campus housing is provided, as well as a meal plan
when the College is in session. The College is willing to
discuss off campus living arrangements at the request of the
successful candidate.
Qualifications
Master’s degree required. Minimum of five (5) years
experience in housing or residence life required. Knowledge
of student conduct processes, student development philosophies and
a demonstrated ability to respond to complex and emergency
situations in a clear, calm and consistent manner required.
Proficient leadership, collaboration, communication and
organizational skills required. Requires work on evenings and
weekends, and serves as a call-up consultant for high level
matters.
