Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in their entry-level Doctoral program.  The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual interested in teaching in the program’s progressive curriculum.  Teaching load will be developed in the candidate’s area(s) of expertise.  Preference will be given to candidates with interest in:  Anatomy, Acute Care, Cardiopulmonary, Pharmacology, Pediatrics, or other area of clinical specialization.  This position includes: teaching in the professional curriculum as assigned; participation in University faculty meetings; service on University, School of Health Sciences and Education, and Department committees as appointed; participation in departmental activities including accreditation activities, curriculum development and evaluation, student research, student advisement, professional development activities; participation in the University’s General Education Program; performs other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will engage in research, which may be through the Human Performance Laboratory in the DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness.  Faculty participate in service to the University, student advisement, and are encouraged to be involved in community outreach activities.

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).  The candidate should hold, or provide proof of eligibility for, licensure in Pennsylvania, 3-5 years of clinical experience, demonstration of prior teaching or lecture experience, and an active APTA membership. Preferred qualifications include: A physical therapist with a terminal doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent) or who is completing a terminal doctoral degree; prior teaching experience at a similar rank or as an instructor or adjunct; Board Certified Clinical Specialization recognized by ABPTS.  Candidates who do not possess a terminal doctoral degree may be required to agree to obtain such as a condition of hire.
