Title: Resource Development Associate 50%
Position Summary: Manages all aspects of the Volunteer State Community College foundation donor records and accounts to: ensure up-to-date, accurate information on donors and prospective donors; ensure that all contributions are properly accounted for within foundation records and in the business Office; help to maintain excellent communication with donors and volunteers; and provide accurate, up-to-date reports to the Vice President for Resource Development and the Foundation Board of Trustees. Performs other job related duties relative to the area of responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain donor/community integrity by effective use of donor software and data base management. Maintains a detailed and accurate accounting of foundation income and expenses. Works with the college Business Office to ensure accurate record keeping. Assist Vice President for Resource Development and Executive Director of College Foundation with developing and managing the Foundation budget. Maintains confidentiality of information. Processes computer generated reports as necessary; reviews for accuracy. Balances cash and receipts; prepares deposits; Monitors, balances, and reconciles various accounts. Monthly reconciliation. Work with auditors as needed. Assists with all fundraising events as assigned. Assists with communications for the Foundation including but not limited to social media, annual magazine, monthly newsletter and website updates. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Associate's degree OR High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of general office experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Three years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience. Knowledge of Banner and Raisers Edge.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Excellent computer skills including database management. Excellent bookkeeping skills and procedures of financial record keeping and reporting. Experience in reconciling financial data. Self-directed, capable of taking initiative. Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze data and problem solve. Ability to navigate the internet.
Pay Rate: 16,300.00 - 19,560.00 annual salary depending on experience
