Assistant or Associate Professor (03-317-184): The Department of Radiation Oncology, Division of Translational Radiation Sciences (DTRS) the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a Radiobiologist (PhD). This position will have a focus on radiation counter measure research. This position will work with BARDA contracts and task orders. You will be responsible for fulfilling research obligations under existing contracts as well as future contracts. Additionally it will be responsible for maintaining consistent and efficient operation of the admin aspects of ongoing research project while remaining in compliance with applicable study and Institutional Animal Care and Use Comm. (IACUC) protocols, Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), & Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Guidelines.

Qualifications :

Candidates must have a Ph.D. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to ongoing research projects, as well as develop their own research program over time, and additionally will provide supervision to staff and fellows within the laboratory. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.
