Position Summary:
Under direction of the AES Director, this position performs complex and diverse financial, administrative & technical assistance to AES unit members. Assist with development, management & administration of Architect/Engineer, vendor & construction contract forms, as well as other related technical documents.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience with administrative or office support functions;
  • Experience preparing and reviewing technical documents and records for accuracy and completeness; researching, compiling, organizing, evaluating and summarizing information for reports and responses to requests;
  • Experience with computer software such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs;
  • Experience interpreting and explaining complex information such as regulations, policies and procedures;
  • Experience solving problems and working independently.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • College education or advanced training in a related area.
  • Experience with AIA web-based Contract Documents system.
  • Experience using Banner and FAMIS database systems, or other computerized work order management programs.
  • Experience in work related to the construction industry.
  • Experience with or knowledge of terminology, procedures and best practices related to the development and administration of capital construction contracts.
  • Knowledge of State and University policies, procedures and practices relating to contracting, travel and purchasing.
  • Experience with effective communication, both verbally and in writing; perform liaison activities in a work setting with other departments and institutions.
