Director of Law Center Career Services - (STA009897)



Directs Career Services for the Law Center, which develops career opportunities for the Law Center's students and alumni.

  1. Develops career opportunities for Law Center students and alumni by instituting outreach efforts to acquaint multi-state legal employers and local, state and national public interest, business and government employers with the Law Center; introduces employers to the advantages of recruiting and selecting Law Center graduates.
  2. Counsels individual students and alumni on defining, developing and achieving career goals.
  3. Develops strategies on an individual and group basis so students may compete successfully for traditional and alternate career positions.
  4. Directs the Law Center's Career Services Office including supervision of professional staff and administration of office budget.
  5. Devises, organizes and coordinates numerous Law Center strategy and information programs, job fairs, listing services and all processes relating to career development.
  6. Collects and submits required demographic data to licensing boards.
  7. Performs other job-related duties as required.

A J.D. is preferred. The J.D. degree and/or work experience as an attorney can accrue time toward the years of experience requirement in this posting. Additionally, attorney work experience will often be deemed directly job related to the position requirements.

Qualifications :

Masters and 5 years experience

Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
