SCC invites qualified candidates to apply for our pooled
part-time faculty positions to teach Graphic Design and/or Studio
Art courses this upcoming Fall 2022. Part-time
appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.
Skills currently needed:
Studio Art Areas of Emphasis:
- Art Appreciation
- Art History
- 2-D Design
- Color Theory
- Drawing
- Photography
Qualifications for Studio Art Faculty:
- Master Fine Art or Master of Art History (depending on courses we have open)
- Specialized areas of emphasis will be considered on a course-by-course basis according to course offerings.
Graphic Design Areas of Emphasis:
- Visualization & Layout
- Digital Imaging & Illustration
- Typography
- Web & Interactive Design
- Animation & Motion Graphics
- Video Production
- Portfolio Design & Professional Practices, etc.
- Platform proficiencies required: Apple OS and iOS
- Software proficiencies required: Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Wordpress, Flash, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Maya, Mudbox, Axure, Balsamique, etc.
Qualifications for Graphic Design Faculty:
- Master Fine Art or Bachelor Fine Art
- Commensurate design practitioner/field experience required.
- Specialized areas of emphasis will be considered on a course-by-course basis according to course offerings.
