Job Description:

The Curry College Department of Visual & Performing Arts is accepting applications for part-time Associate Lecturers with the demonstrated ability to teach Drawing. This course introduces drawing techniques and explores the particular quality and expressiveness of a variety of drawing media - pencil, ink, charcoal, and conté crayon.  Students practice drawing skills with emphasis on compositional principles and the development of visual sensitivity.  

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Graphic Design and Studio Art Majors as well as non-majors within an interdisciplinary context.  

This course meets Mondays from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm.

 

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MFA in Drawing, or related two-dimensional field. 
  • Available to teach course on assigned scheduled days/time. 
  • Must be able to produce creative work that informs their teaching and be active in the art community through participation in exhibitions, organizations and conferences.  
  • Prior experience working with Canvas is ideal.
