Job Description:

Web Development Specialist will provide web development support of The University of Toledo web and digital properties, management of third-party web applications, and work collaboratively with the web development, marketing, and software engineer teams.

As a member of the web team in the Office of Marketing and Communications, the Web Development Specialist will focus on accessibility compliance; optimizing site for search engine optimization; cleaning up site files and reorganizing structures for optimal user experience; and interpreting Google Analytics, Google tag manager and tools to track and measure the web experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree.
· 1-2 years of work experience with web support, web accessibility, web analytics.
· Work portfolio that demonstrates a passion for technology, developing websites and digital solutions.
· Experience in html coding, Adobe CC, Microsoft Office and the willingness to explore new tools.
· Experience in interpreting Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and tools to track and measure web experience.
· Experience in web accessibility and mediating accessibility issues.
· Experience working in content management systems and WordPress preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Resourceful self-starter who can work independently and translate feedback and direction into successful solutions in a timely manner.
· A high degree of professionalism and strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility, ability to work well with others and integrity.
· Ability to work under minimal supervision, tight time constraints and periodic high-volume circumstances.
