Job Summary
Auburn University Libraries is seeking dynamic, creative, results-oriented applicants for the position of Specialist I/II, Library Technical in the Circulation Department. Hours for this position are 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm Monday through Friday or 3:00 pm to 12:00 am Sunday through Thursday. A 10% shift differential will be paid for all hours of a regularly assigned evening or night shift provided the employee actually works four hours or more between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Essential Functions
This position reports to the Library Associate III of the Stacks and Resource Maintenance unit and will supervise student workers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and supervise stack maintenance, including both the main reshelving area and in closed stacks;
- Remove/suppress online data of obsolete materials, recycle/discard materials;
- Provide oversight of the Library’s inventory project and the shelf reading program; and
- Respond to incoming missing traces/claim returns.

The salary range for Level I is approximately $30,160 – $32,000.
The salary range for Level II is approximately $30,160 – $35,000.
