Position Purpose
Works with the Associate Director – Database Management to maximize the use of information systems, reporting tools and data products throughout and in support of the missions of Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Geisel School of Medicine Development and Alumni Engagement. Provides operational support to the department using a proactive/collaborative approach, technical expertise, automated tools and web-based applications. Supports the development of comprehensive executive analytics reports, applications training programs and provides support and integration services between systems.

- Proven ability support successful data and IT operations within complex organizations.
- Ability to explain complex technology issues to non-technology leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in planning and proven ability to apply technology to solve challenges.
- Ability to leverage both legacy and leading-edge technologies to support fundraising, alumni, sales or customer management programs and services
- General knowledge of core technologies that support enterprise and work group level data management, identity management, e-commerce, secure data exchange, web services, backups and retention, and application development and maintenance
- Ability to test and respond to data and system changes, upgrades, and conversions, including disaster recovery.
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population
- Track record of success managing relationships with a diverse set of users.
- Experience in data administration, gift processing, fundraising reporting, data analysis, prospect management, and documentation.
- Broad working knowledge of the applications programming development function, with a strong preference for experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge systems.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and background in higher education and/or healthcare fundraising are highly desirable.
- Fundamental and/ or Professional Certification in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
- Experience deploying technology, training and support to enhance decision support/business intelligence preferred.
- Experience with Development and Alumni Relations specific applications, online alumni communities and volunteer management tools and/or significant experience with other comparable systems, complexity of data, functions and service for constituent data and relationships.
- Participates as a development team member in bringing a sense of humor and joy to their work and workplace.

Description
Information Technology
- Creates, builds, and manages data systems to support fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives.
- Provides analytical, reporting, training, and troubleshooting support for Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Luminate, TeamRaiser, Blackbaud NetCommunity, Advance and PaperSave software to the broad D-HH/ GSM development community.
- Produces executive and detailed analytical fundraising reports and analysis.
- Actively identifies opportunities to better utilize the Raiser’s Edge and Advance system to meet the strategic business needs of the division.
- Works with member institutions within the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health system to support the integration of the D-HH structure.
- Researches, compiles, extracts and analyzes information from a number of source systems and documents to manage and maintain data.
- Maintains data integrity for donors, alumni and constituents within Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Advance.
- Works to develop and execute a series of audit queries to ensure data integrity.
- Ensures that the division is taking full advantage of the capabilities of the Luminate and TeamRaiser Software.
- Supports and maintains a robust Raiser’s Edge/ NXT /Omatic/PaperSave end-user training program.
- Analyzes need, tests, and develops end-user reports and reporting systems utilizing Raiser’s Edge and Crystal Reports.
- Works to set up team members’ computers, printers, scanner etc.

- Maintains operational procedure manuals, creates training sessions and facilitates training session for teams.
- Meets individually with team members as needed to provide 1:1 training opportunities.
- Participates as part of the team that plans for and implements hardware/software upgrades, ensuring that system maintenance.
- Uses various project management tools to plan for, track on, and report out project success and impediments.
- Works on special projects and other tasks related to data management.
