The Opportunity:
The Department of Mathematics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Campus, invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of Mathematics. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Prescott, Arizona campus is respected worldwide for cutting-edge instruction and training for tomorrow’s aviation, aerospace, security and intelligence leaders. Prescott is a mile-high city and its climate reflects seasonable weather excellent for flying. Daytime averages are 80°F in the summer and 45°F in the winter. At 5,000 ft. above sea level, it boasts a mild climate, clean air, pristine wilderness areas, and nearby national forests. The university is a small, private, residential university in the mountains of Arizona with approximately 3,500 students. Staff/faculty/student interaction is highly valued and is a central theme of our campus. It is located 100 miles north of Phoenix and 120 miles south of the Grand Canyon.
The individual that fills this position is expected to teach in person, on the Prescott Campus. Candidates looking for a remote instruction opportunity will not be considered.
Job Description:
Adjunct faculty for the Department of Mathematics may teach one or two courses per semester, as needed. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the nation’s top ranked undergraduate engineering university specializing in aerospace engineering and aeronautical sciences. We seek an energetic individual who will join our growing department of 11 faculty members to help continue our tradition of excellence in teaching and scholarly activities.
Qualifications
Demonstrated potential for excellence in a wide range of teaching is our first priority. An ability to communicate with undergraduate--level students is essential. The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in mathematics at the time of appointment.

- Master's degree or Ph.D.
- Teaching experience is preferred.
