The Department of Political Science seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor. This position is a nine-month, non-tenure track contract. The Department of Political Science intends to begin a tenure-track faculty search during the 2022-2023 academic year. The teaching load is 12 hours per semester (4 courses). The teaching load includes teaching introductory Texas and American government, as well as upper-level courses in Political Science and Global Studies. Salary is competitive.

The Department is interested in candidates with a PhD in Political Science, and who will contribute to the mission of the department and university. For the visiting position, all subfields are welcome, but expertise in international politics, global political economy, or European politics is especially welcome.

Nine Month Contract in Political Science, starting Fall 2022.

Requirement: ABD/PhD in Political Science. Field: Open.

The Department of Political Science houses majors Political Science and Global Studies, as well as a minor in Women’s and Gender studies. Midwestern State University is a diverse, public liberal arts university with an enrollment of approximately 6,000 students and a member of the Texas Tech System. MSU Texas is located in Wichita Falls, a city of 102,000 about 2 hours northwest of Dallas/Fort Worth (www.msutexas.edu).
