Serves as coordinator for sustainability engagement and communications. Develops campus and community awareness and represents the university in various functions regarding sustainability.
  1. Coordinates sustainability outreach including campus engagement programs, volunteering, trainings, presentations, events and orientations.
  2. Coordinates sustainability communications for social media, news coverage, interviews, newsletter, blog, branding and web.
  3. Develops and implements strategies for campus sustainability, focusing primarily on engagement, communications and evaluation.
  4. Develops print and digital materials for promotional use, education and engagement.
  5. Serves as the primary contact for sustainability at the University of Houston and liaison for sustainability communications and outreach.
  6. Coordinates office purchasing, scheduling, travel and administrative needs.
  7. Prepares analyses and reports for management use.
  8. Helps set and meet budgeting goals and assists with acquiring external funding.
  9. Provide guidance and supervision to student employees and volunteers.Assists in supporting departmental sustainability initiatives and sustainability committee needs.Participates in facilitating campus and community collaboration in sustainability.May assist in institutional sustainability research and reporting.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 1 year experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience
