Title: IT Inventory Technician

Position Summary: The incumbent will work on the Client Services' team in IT and will be responsible for the accurate accounting of inventory; including assisting with receiving, processing, recording and distributing supplies and materials; performing a variety of duties including data entry and maintenance of files and records, and auditing of existing inventory across the College.

Duties and Responsibilities: The IT Inventory Technician responsibilities will include: Assist with receiving and inspecting all IT equipment delivered to receiving and campus departments. Document receipt of goods into an automated purchasing and asset management system(s). Update the asset management system for acquisitions, transfer and dispositions of all IT assets. Maintain asset inventory records and files in accordance with College policies and procedures, and prepare asset management reports. Plan, coordinate and conduct periodic physical inventories audits of in-use and inventory items in addition to capital assets across the College; update records and prepare draft and final reports of inventory. Use scanning devices, bar code technology and spreadsheets to record physical inventory items for audits and upload into asset management system. Prepare purchase orders for a variety of administrative services, supplies and equipment including service contracts. Maintain records of transactions and use of equipment and services. Coordinate the transfer, sale or disposal of unused, depreciated, damaged or surplus inventory and assets in accordance with College policy and procedure. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Associates degree and experience in Inventory/IT/Call Center/Help Desk/Service Desk support or related experience OR a High School diploma/GED equivalent and one year Inventory/IT/Call Center/Help Desk/Service Desk support or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience performing inventory control, analysis, inventory accounting and identification. IT industry certification(s): i.e. ITIL Foundation Certification, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ Certification(s), Microsoft IT Certification(s). Experience with TeamDynamix or an ITSM ticketing application. Experience with Active Directory, MS Office & Windows, 7 and 10, Remote Access Support tools, Anti-Virus software, ITIL concepts and best practices, VPN, and Knowledge Base tools.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Work Characteristics: Prioritize and multitask with excellent organization skills. Perform accurate mathematical calculations rapidly and navigate asset management databases. Plan, prioritize and perform work in order to meet, monthly, quarterly and annual schedules and timelines. Prepare accurate statistical reports and maintain records with speed and accuracy. Work independently and with sound judgment within procedural guidelines. Quickly identify problems and situations, and take appropriate action to resolve the underlying cause. Assure compliance with applicable College policies, procedures and governmental regulations. The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of the use of personal computers — proven ability in the use of all pertinent software applications. Must be able to successfully communicate via telephone, email, and person-to-person moderately complex technical information, and accurately compose correspondence and reports. Must demonstrate excellent customer service and team skills. Must be able to think logically and act decisively in critical situations. Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay Rate: 26,940.00 - 32,330.00 annual salary depending on experience
