General Summary: The Welding Coordinator checks and maintains Welding equipment, orders consumables supplies for the Welding classes, stays current in AWS processes and industry needs, assists in student recruitment and welding student coaching.
Job Specifications:

Job Duties:
1. Assist in program promotion activities and articulation of programs and courses with other four-year institutions.
2. Coordinate among program faculty assessment and follow-up activities to meet Middle States requirements in this area.
3. Coordinate among faculty four-year program review for the program.
4. Review assessment results, facilitate discussion among faculty, and assist with implementing resulting recommendations
5. Order consumable supplies for all welding classes
6. Clean welding machines
7. Check, maintain and repair TIG torches
8. Check, maintain and repair oxy fuel cutting and brazing equipment
9. Check filters in ventilation systems
10. Maintain and repair grinders
11. Attend AWS meetings
12. Assist students in job placement
13. Maintain current relationship with Lincoln Electric Company
14. Coordinate all training material for use in the classroom
15. Maintain the relationship between CCAC and area school instructors by attending their advisory council meetings
16. Confer with administration regarding new programs and initiatives that meet the academic or workforce needs and their implementation that meets the academic needs of students.
17. Coordinate meetings with the Advisory Committee and assist with implementing board recommendations.
18. Prepare a program report and submit it to the Dean at the end of each semester.
19. Other related duties as required.
