The School of Nursing at DePaul University seeks to fill the position of Associate Director of Simulation and Nursing Laboratories.  This is a 12-month non-tenure track faculty position.  The  individual is expected to participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of student learning experiences that ensure the safe, effective best practice of nursing skills in the simulation laboratory; provide instruction during scheduled and open practice time in the Nursing Learning Laboratories; arrange workshops and other programs to address special learning needs of nursing students; and assist the Lab Coordinator/staff in ensuring that Learning Lab equipment, supplies, computers, and audiovisuals are secure and maintained in good order. Experience and/or expertise in simulation learning is preferred; Experience in teaching pre-licensure program preferred. Experience and/or expertise in obtaining simulation lab accreditation preferred.

DePaul's School of Nursing offers Master's Entry into Nursing Practice, MSN-specialty, RN-MSN (online), DNP, and Nurse Practitioner tracks and certificates. Nursing Programs are focused on community engagement, service learning in vulnerable communities, social justice and excellent safe quality nursing care. Faculty and students are engaged in Community Based Service Learning experiences in over 60 community sites in the Chicago area. Students are also in clinical sites at over 50 health care institutions.

The College of Science and Health is the third largest college at DePaul, enrolling over 3,000 students. Qualifications

  1. Registered Nurse (IL)
  2. Master’s degree in Nursing
  3. Minimum of 2 years nursing practice experience in relevant areas
  4. Advanced computer skills required
  5. 2 years teaching experience in nursing preferred
  6. Simulation experiences preferred
  7. Experience in patient simulation scenarios preferred.
  8. Broad generalist background with curriculum development experience is preferred
