Position Summary:

Join UDit, a team that comprises over 90 staff dedicated to providing tools and services for teaching, learning, research and administration. UDit collaborates with faculty, students and staff on innovative IT services to meet the diverse needs of our UD community. This is a full time benefit eligible position that offers health, dental and vision insurance, retirement, disability, tuition assistance, vacation/sick accrual and holiday pay.

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology in Student Development, the IT Systems Analyst will work collaboratively to deliver technology solutions that support the strategic initiatives of the division and the institution. Student Development IT provides technology services to staff providing health care, career and personal counseling, wellness opportunities, housing and residence life, leadership programs, student life, and campus safety. The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for collaboratively planning, building, and deploying technology solutions that support the efforts in these areas. Student Development IT supports a mix of on-premises and cloud hosted applications. A majority of the on-premises applications are powered by a combination of Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server.

The IT Systems Analyst will build security, observability, and resiliency into these solutions, and will work closely with vendors and other IT staff to deliver upgrades and enhancements on a regular schedule. A successful member of the team will exercise technical acumen provisioning Windows operating systems and applications, enhancing security and availability via enterprise tools, improve the quality of systems integration, and increase the automation of the managed environment

Consultation with staff throughout the division and the broader institution will be essential to the IT Systems Analyst's decision making process. Strong customer relations and communications skills are integral to the success of the position.

This IT Systems Analyst is an opportunity for an IT systems generalist to gain experience in a broad range of applications in a wide scope of disciplines. This position will require constant learning and a pursuit of continuous quality improvement in day to day work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university plus two years experience in a technology related field.
Experience exploring business problems, collaborating with colleagues to document potential solutions, and delivering solutions to customers and constituents
Experience delivering technical solutions utilizing:
Enterprise system architecture models and methods
Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and associated management tools
competent development practices with Powershell, Python, or functional equivalent to build and deliver technical solutions
ETL processes (batch, API, or others) in support of systems integration
Demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or other relevant technical field
5 years of relevant technical experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Student Development/Student Affairs learning/business systems and processes
Documented systems administration of Microsoft SQL server paired with SSIS
Knowledge of and sensitivity to a Catholic Marianist work environment.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
