Founded in 1919, AUC moved to a new 270-acre state-of-the-art campus in New Cairo in 2008. The University also operates in its historic downtown facilities, offering cultural events. Job Description:

Recruitment, Admissions & Enrollment:

  • Direct formulation, implementation, and enhancement of recruiting strategies, including marketing plans for recruitment and retention of students, enrollment policy, divisional operations, and services.
  • Work to strengthen the marketing activities of the enrollment management division, and to ensure consistency of brand and timeliness of campaigns; effectively balance communications with prospective students to increase yield and minimize fatigue and costs; continue to help refine and automate access and affordability data to be responsive to internal and external constituents need for recurring and adhoc reports;
  • Articulate student enrollment vision consistent with the University's mission and strategic initiatives.
  • Focused on the University's mission, vision and strategic goals, lead the area of Enrollment and cultivate collaborative relationships with University colleagues and external constituencies to ensure consistent strategic enrollment management success
  • Develop and execute a successful strategy for increasing enrollment and success of international students from diverse countries, that allows us to meet our goal of increasing the % of international students to over 20% while also meeting our revenue targets;
  • Confer with the Provost, the faculty, and the CFO to establish enrollment objectives and priorities at key points in the year; analyze enrollment trends and project outcomes internally and externally. Prepare detailed reports on enrollment.

Student Financial Support:

  • Develop and manage student financial assistance programs that address the University's enrollment priorities, from admission through retention and graduation;
  • Develop strategies for student financial support packaging that will support enrollment goals.

International Programs:

  • Oversee, develop, evaluate and approve programs and projects within the Office of International Programs; responsible for developing and maintaining international institutional relationships between AUC and selected universities. In partnership with these institutions, AUC offers student, staff and faculty exchanges, conduct collaborative research activities and provides other cooperative programs.
  • Oversee the services provided to international students and scholars

Leadership:

  • Work to ensure seamless, customer-centered handling of issues that arise with regard to admissions, student financial support, and student success balancing high touch with technological solutions as appropriate
  • Integrate the offices under the position purview (Recruitment, Enrollment, Admissions & Student Service Center, the International Programs and Services Office (IPSO) and Student Financial Support,) and align processes from a student perspective, increase diversity; and focus on implementation
  • Work with Student Admissions, and with the Student Financial Support to develop data-driven and analytics-based recruitment and financial aid strategies to support enrollment goals.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership on establishing measurable goals for diversity, academic profile, and student success.
  • Actively engage in an open dialogue with faculty, parents, senior level administration, and others on matters related to enrollment management
  • Collaborate closely with University Marketing and Communications leadership and other campus program leadership for the development and implementation of institutional marketing strategies.
  • Provide administrative leadership on policies and procedures relevant to the recruitment, retention and graduation of undergraduate students
  • Create a culture of shared ownership of enrollment management that optimizes students' experience and supports their journey from admission to graduation
  • Serve as the University representative to multiple external constituents, including high school counselors and other universities nationally and internationally.
  • Serve as a member of the Provost's Council.
  • Any other related duties as requested by the Provost.

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement:

Earned a doctoral degree in business administration, management, education, or a related field.

Experience:

At least eight - ten years of progressive experience in academic leadership in an accredited institution with a culture of shared governance in addition to senior administrative experience in international programs; including managing budgets, staff supervision and development, and strategic planning.

Purpose: The Associate Provost for Enrollment Management bears ultimate responsibility for identifying, attracting, admitting, yielding, and retaining the students who will come to the University and ultimately become its alumni. The Associate Provost for Enrollment Management will have direct managerial responsibility and oversight for the Offices of Recruitment, Admissions, Enrollment, Student Services, Student Financial Support, and the International Programs and Services Office. The Associate Provost for Enrollment Management will develop collaborative relationships with other leaders, faculty, staff, and students to ensure integration of operational and strategic enrollment management initiatives across campus.
