Biomedical Engineering Visiting Assistant
ProfessorJoin Gannon University, a Catholic university,
and collaborate with a dynamic faculty that prepares motivated
students intellectually, professionally, and personally for
leadership roles in their careers and society. The College of
Engineering and Business invites applications for a renewable
Visiting Assistant Professor position in Biomedical Engineering
(BME). Candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching and
the potential for scholarship in the field of Biomedical
Engineering and will be expected to engage in scholarly activities
in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is
appropriate to the application at Gannon University. A Ph.D. in
Biomedical Engineering or closely related fields is required and
must be completed prior to the beginning of the fall semester of
2022. Candidates must be able to support and promote the
University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its
liberal arts and professional education traditions.
Candidates will demonstrate expertise in the following areas: biomechanics, biomaterials, and biomedical systems. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in these areas. Additional duties include developing experiments and teaching the Biomedical Engineering laboratories, mentoring senior design projects, and participating in the course and curriculum development. The faculty member is also expected to conduct scholarly research, advise, and provide service to the university, community, and profession.
