For over 20 years, Milwaukee Athletics has been the premier program in the Horizon League and has claimed the McCafferty Trophy, which is awarded to the conference’s all-sports champion, a remarkable seven times in the last 15 years. All told, Panther teams have won nearly 150 regular-season or Horizon League Tournament championships. This continued success enhances UWM’s reputation and creates an exciting, vibrant campus for all of our students. Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Strength and Conditioning, the incumbent will design, implement and supervise strength and conditioning programs for male and female student-athletes; Provide and/or assist coaches with technique instruction in strength training and program design within the scope of the sport; Support Athletic Department staff and student-athlete education and development in strength, conditioning, and nutrition; Assist in proper setup, use and maintenance of conditioning equipment, and other duties as assigned.

The incumbent will also know, recognize and comply with the laws, policies, rules and regulations governing University and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (“NCAA”) and the applicable Conference, as now constituted or as they may be amended during the Term of this agreement. This position shall take all reasonable steps to endeavor and ensure that all assistant coaches, and any other employees for whom the incumbent is administratively responsible, comply with aforesaid policies, rules, and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Exercise science or related field
  • Current NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa SCCC certification(s)
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of Strength and Conditioning experience (including internship experience)



Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of collegiate strength and conditioning experience with direct oversight of teams
  • Demonstrated experience working with Women’s Basketball
  • Demonstrated experience working with one or more of the following sports: Volleyball, Swim/Dive, Track/Field, Tennis and Soccer
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with sport coaching staffs and sports medicine staffs
