Job Summary
The Project Manager will remotely coordinate training and coaching with Wisconsin school districts to support speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in implementing best practices with comprehensive assessments. This position will also coordinate team meetings, provide technical assistance to SLPs, oversee evaluation activities, manage project personnel, and assist with dissemination to key stakeholders. All project activities can be completed online, allowing for remote employment in accordance with current UWM remote work policy. A workspace will be available on the UWM campus, if desired. Budget is available for occasional travel to school districts and conferences.

The distribution of duties for this position is approximately: Provide technical assistance to school personnel (35%), Consult with school district leadership for project planning and implementation (25%), Oversee evaluation of adult learning (25%), Assist with dissemination to stakeholders and SLP community (10%), Manage student hourly personnel in Child Language Lab (5%).

This position will require access to reliable high-speed internet and online communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google meet, YouTube). The position will also require that candidates have or acquire proficiency with a range of speech and language assessments (norm-referenced, criterion-referenced, language sample analysis, dynamic assessment).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree, speech-language pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology
  • Three years of experience as a speech-language pathologist in a school setting





Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of experience as a speech-language pathologist in a school setting
  • Experience and proficiency in using a wide range of speech, language, and communication assessment tools, including language sample analysis and dynamic assessments
  • Experience supporting adult learning through coaching and professional development
  • Expertise with evidence-based practice in assessment
  • Experience with project management or in leading teams
  • Ability to acquire skills to use online tools to support adult learning
