The Department of Psychology at Smith College invites applications for a one-year, benefits eligible position at the rank of Lecturer to begin July 1, 2022. Teaching responsibilities for this position will regularly include Introductory Psychology, intermediate courses in the field of Psychology of Adolescence and Emerging Adulthood, and an upper-level seminar in a topic in the candidate’s area of expertise. Other courses may be taught depending upon the candidate’s field of specialization. Candidates should have a strong foundation in adolescence and emerging adulthood, and candidates with experience in sexual identity, racial identity or other types of cultural identity are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, Cultural Psychology, or a related field is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates from groups underrepresented in Psychology are encouraged to apply.
