SALARY AND BENEFITS:

The posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU's compensation plan. RVU's full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

RVU offers benefits that include 2 weeks accrued paid vacation days per year, 12 accrued sick days per year, personal days, 13 ½ paid holidays and 401(K) match up to 7% based on employee's contribution. A hybrid work model with remote flexibility is also available for eligible positions.

Primary Purpose

Manage clinical clerkship rotations for fourth year medical students in Utah. This position can be in Southern Utah or Northern Utah.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Responsible for coordinating and scheduling student clinical rotations, schedule conflicts and related student concerns with their rotation assignments.
  2. Oversee the VLSO/VSAS program for the UT Campus.
  3. Ensure that all student documents are completed in a timely manner before, during and after clinical rotations.
  4. Maintain accurate clinical information database for clinical rotation sites, clinical faculty, and student assignments.
  5. Recruit new doctors and sites to the RVU rotation base.
  6. Provide support for administering and proctoring, shelf exams and focus groups.
  7. Provide oversight for the evaluation process, completeness and timeliness of evaluation required of students, clinical faculty and clinical sites.
  8. Support the student advising program.
  9. Provide support to Regional Directors, Clerkship Directors and RVU Liaisons.
  10. Provide support and assist the Associate Dean for Clinical Education, Assistant Dean of Clinical Education and the Clinical Education Manager.
  11. Other duties as assigned by the Dean or his/her designee.

  1. Assist Administration, faculty and staff in special projects as required.
  2. Participate in community and professional outreach activities on behalf of the college and university as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or 5-years equivalent work in scheduling or database management.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Post graduate degree
  2. Work experience in a Medical School or Residency Program.
  3. Work experience in scheduling in a healthcare-related facility.
