Position Summary

The UB Teacher Residency is a one-year, paid residency program that has been designed to prepare effective, learner-ready teachers for the Buffalo Public Schools while co-teaching alongside a mentor teacher for an entire school year. As this initiative has grown, the need for administrative support is critical. In this role you must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and be comfortable meeting deadlines and balancing competing priorities. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be critical to the candidate’s success in the position. The post-award administrative support duties will include but may not limited to:
  • Coordinate with participants, faculty, and program partners to ensure all required paperwork has been collected.
  • Oversee budgets and expenditures with careful attention paid to allowability and policy compliance.
  • Track participant status.
  • Establish and maintain essential records and files as required by the grant contract.
  • Prepare required grant materials and reporting to be submitted to sponsor.
  • Purchase materials and supplies.
  • Job postings as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 – 2 years of experience.
  • Prior grant related work.
