The Annual Fund and Alumni Engagement  Officer is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of the Delhi Fund and SUNY Delhi's annual giving program.  The position plays a pivotal role in accelerating growth in alumni and annual giving. The Annual Fund and Alumni Engagement Officer will also provide key support and assistance in implementing communications, programs, events and activities that grow and strengthen alumni and donor affinity with SUNY Delhi. 

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing a robust alumni annual giving program that is targeted and responds to alumni demographic factors, including age, vocation, academic background, affinity groups, and geographic regions.
  • Developing, managing and executing departmental and special fundraising requests to ensure coordination with SUNY Delhi solicitation activities.
  • Assisting in planning and execute alumni engagement programs in concert with the Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, Alumni Advisory Council, College Advancement team, and other campus partners (e.g., commencement committee, special events committees, student ambassadors, and President's office).
  • Providing support for alumni engagement activities, events, and communications that strengthen alumni engagement and affinity for SUNY Delhi. 
  • Supervising the implementation of programs and activities that celebrate impact of The Delhi Fund and charitable giving on the college and its students.

 
Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others towards a common goal
  • Experience planning and implementing events
  • Understanding of database management, gift processing, and donor relations
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work nights and weekends as required
  • Strong background in Microsoft suite programs

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years successful experience in annual giving, alumni relations, fundraising, or a related position
  • A demonstrated record in successful project management and managing teams or volunteers
  • Professional experience in higher education
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to critically assess programs and results
