Position Details
The Wave Transport in Complex Systems ( WTICS ) group at Wesleyan University is seeking an experimental/applied-physics Postdoctoral Research Associate in microwave and RF analogue circuitry.

Specific areas of research include: (a) Parity-time symmetric circuits; (b) (micro-)electromechanical devices (with emphasis on sensors and energy harvesting); © active topological structures; (d) asymmetric transport; (e) broadband absorbing structures; and (f) Wavefront shaping techniques.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Supervise graduate and undergraduate students
  • Manuscript preparation and editing and conference presentations.
  • Assisting in grant preparation and grant applications

Minimum Qualifications
PhD in physics, Electrical Engineering or related field
Knowledge of theory of metamaterials
Experience testing theoretical concepts of wave propagation in complex media Knowledge of software packages for electronic design (such as COMSOL , SPICE etc)
Experience in analogue circuitry design including lump and RF distributed circuits
Experience in PCB design and testing Experience operating with microwave test equipment ( VNA , oscilloscopes, etc)
Demonstrated commitment to work within a diverse environment and interact openly with individuals of different backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with electromechanical devices and nonlinear circuitry
