Position Summary:
Title IX and Youth Program Coordinator
The Title IX and Youth Program Coordinator at
UW-Platteville serves as the institutional compliance officer for
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The individual
provides vision and leadership around Title IX and discrimination
related issues, emphasizing compliance and education as the key
priorities. Develops institution-wide policies, maintains
compliance data, and oversees the Title IX compliance program.
Develops and delivers training, monitors institutional risk, and
communicates risk and remediation strategies to leadership to
ensure compliance with institutional policies and/or laws and
regulations.
The Title IX and Youth Program Coordinator
facilitates the systems for reporting and responding to Title IX
complaints and collaborates with appropriate UW-Platteville offices
and representatives to ensure support and resources are offered to
those involved; an investigation and adjudication take place in an
impartial and timely manner; and the process follows federal and
state law as well as UW-Platteville policy.
The Title IX and Youth Program Coordinator also serves as the institutional Youth Program Coordinator for camps, clinics, and youth programming. The Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative oversight, including the development and review of Federal and State regulations, policy, procedures, training, and a system of data collection for minors through the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s three campuses. Works closely with the university’s risk and compliance officers to address legal obligations and ensure the safety of campers and staff. Coordinates, collaborates, and communicates with staff and third parties, developing audience-specific information and guidance.
The salary for this position is $60,000 – 70,000 commensurate
with experience. This is a full time,
benefits and
paid leave eligible position.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have the ability to build trust and work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners and to balance the multiple, varying interests of diverse stakeholders.
This position requires the ability to exercise good judgement and to manage sensitive information, have a high degree of discretion and the ability to maintain confidential information.
The Title IX and Youth Program Coordinator must have the ability to work independently and be able to develop, implement and manage youth programming policies and procedure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a
student conduct, student life, diversity, legal, human resources,
or similar field.
- Experience conducting in-person prevention education regarding
sexual misconduct, relationship violence and stalking.
- Experience conducting and/or overseeing investigations into
reports of sexual misconduct, violence, and harassment.
- Knowledge of, and the ability to interpret in the broadest sense,
federal and state equal opportunity and non‐discrimination laws and
regulations, including Title IX and others
- Experience with sexual misconduct, harassment, and/or
discrimination investigations
- Understanding and sensitivity to the effects of trauma caused by
sexual violence and harassment
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social
justice.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications
skills, including training and presentation skills
- Effective project management, organizational, and analytical
skills
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software. Computer
proficiency and experience working with spreadsheets, databases,
etc.
