We invite qualified candidates to apply for our full-time, fixed term (one academic year), Economics and Business Faculty position to begin with the Fall 2022 semester in August 2022. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the use of technology in the delivery of instruction. They will be responsible for assessing student performance in coordination with other members of the Economics and Business department to evaluate effectiveness of teaching and student learning and will have demonstrated successful outcomes with diverse student populations. Teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester. Responsibilities include teaching majors and non-majors in business as well as economics courses. The following courses are references to the potential courses the instructor could teach, this does not suggest that all of these courses will be taught each semester. A combination of 60%-40% in economics and business courses is the ideal. These courses are Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Survey Economics, Introduction to Business, Business Ethics, and Legal Environment of Business.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Economics with 18 graduate hours of coursework in Business or
• MBA with 18 graduate hours of coursework in Economics is required
• Preferred candidates will have experience teaching at the college level, will promote/develop student research-based instructional activities, will demonstrate and embrace the use of technology in teaching, and will maintain the highest possible standards in classroom teaching and assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Economics

Minimum starting salaries:

Instructor: $54,852; Assistant Professor: $60,424; Associate Professor: $66,427
