Graduate Assistant - Football Offensive/Defensive Assistant
Job Description
The Graduate Assistant Coach will provide support and assistance to the Head Football Coach. Will assist Defensive Cornerback or Offensive Running Back positions. Will be expected to accomplish and complete all duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. The GA receives full graduate school tuition covering up to a maximum of 9 credit hours per semester as well as a monthly stipend.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Each position will be in charge of their own position group.
- Aids the Head Coach with the operations of the football team.
- Will instruct, mentor, coach, and teach all aspects of our
football program.
- Assists with daily coaching
- Plans practices/workouts
- Prepares and organizes games and meets
- Maintains and tracks equipment
- Bachelor’s degree
- Employment is contingent on acceptance into MWSU Graduate School (3.0 GPA required for admission).

Knowledge of University rules and regulations; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; possess the requisite qualities for the profession; be able to handle a high workload in a demanding environment and be well organized; excellent interpersonal skills; and able to work independently.
Physical Demands
Light Work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Additional Demands
Will be asked to perform most of the duties that a normal assistant coach would perform, including on-the-field coaching, recruiting, film analysis, academic monitoring, and similar duties.
