Job Description

The primary role of the Simulation Resource and Operations Specialist (SORS) is to provide day-to-day support for the Clinical Training Facility (CTF) operations at all locations operated by the CTF, including simulation activities at the School of Medicine’s St. Joseph campus. This position will potentially supervise the work study or student employee staff member(s) and work with the Assistant Director of Simulation Operations (Sr. Business Ops Associate) to oversee and direct the support for simulations including: set-up and tear-down for events, preparation, maintenance and repair of simulation and medical equipment, task trainers, and related multimedia (audio/visual) peripherals; equipment inventory; providing direction to learners, faculty, and standardized patients during exams and simulation activities; monitoring access and activities in the facility. Additional roles may include the following: orientation of work studies and student employees, teaching medical students on simulation electives and developing and participating in and/or leading faculty development.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Full Time/Part Time

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Benefits Elgible

Salary

$15.29 - $17.65/hr commensurate with education, experience and equity.
